COUNSELLING & BEHAVIOUR THERAPY

CALMS: Counselling and Life Management Skills

As a parent you try to do what’s best for your kids but nothing’s ever as easy as you think it was going to be. Sometimes things are not working and you have no idea why, and even if you do know you don’t have enough information on what to do about it.

Just to further frustrate things you may have tried to address this but it did not work or you were unable to stick at it and everyone else in the family (partner/your parents/in-laws/your kids/their friends etc) undermines you.

Your kids are just as frustrated about this as you are.

Like many other things in life that you find challenging; smoking, dieting, drug/alcohol issues and the behaviours we ALL display, these are generally something we learned. They become a habit we are often reluctant to change and at times are unable to try without guidance and help.

Some behavioural issues are nothing more than that, and as such can be remedied with therapy.

Sometimes symptoms of ADD/ADHD and ODD (oppositional defiance disorder) and an endless string of letter combinations depicting a diagnosis for your child (which often means medications) can be REDUCED or even RESOLVED by natural methods. Naturally everything we do will be done in conjunction with medical advice from your GP.

What would that mean to you?

What would that mean to your children?
